FAB Chart - old v new 15 Years, 3 Months ago
I'm not a fan of Rugby (the sport) but I do love the Andy Williams song "Happy Heart" which they use as theme to the Six Nations and is the highest new entry on the FAB Chart this week. There's something about that guy's voice!

An interesting entry at No.16 is from two teen musicians who call themselves Palms13. I listened to this a couple times over so that I could fully appreciate it. Slightly raw but in a 60s kinda way. Good lyrics and a really nice hook. I notice that a lot of teen musicians are getting into the Ukulele these days.

The other new entry comes from Boney M. I've given up asking why certain old songs become popular over again, mainly because there's no such thing as an old song. All songs are new to people who've never heard them before and it seems that there is appreciation of all genres by all generations which is reflected more in the FAB Chart than in the "Official" Chart.

Street Magic take the No.1 spot, and the highest climber is Chloe Temtching at No.9.

I totally adore Andy Williams' voice.

Palms13 remind me very slightly of Donovan. Same kind of feel. Very nice.

Yes, every time Happy Heart comes on I think - if Pop-I existed, that would be at No1.

nice to see Boy George in the top 10

speaking of Happy Heart, I've always liked the song. Petula Clark's is my favourite version.

Marc Almond did a really good version on his Stardom Road album. He also performed it in a Friday Night Is Music Night special. I was in the audience and he got great reaction altho he was visibly nervous as it was one of his first appearances since his dreadful accident. Here is the video from the night.

There are a couple of mistakes at the beginning due to nerves, so they did a retake at the end.
