Good luck to them - but I blame a huge amount of the reason for the decline of music to the laziness and greed of music retailers over the past 30 years.

There are now no independent record shops within approx. 50 miles of where I live. I would have suggested that internet sites such as Amazon are partly responsible, but then we still have independent book stores so there must be other factors. Digital downloads certainly play a part.
I remember a small shop in Sunderland back in 1977. I was visiting relatives up there and was saying how I couldn't find the latest Hank Mizell single anywhere. My uncle suggested this tiny local shop and when I went there I saw the walls were lined with tightly packed singles in alphabetical order. The guy running it thumbed through and found my single very quickly. There was hardly any presentation style although they seemed to have at least one copy of every current release.
