“Exile On Main Street” to go to number one again? 15 Years, 1 Month ago
In the midweek album charts it’s still in front, about a thousand ahead of Faithless.
What does it say about music or music buyers today that a 38-year-old album is likely to top the charts again, or is this simply another triumph of marketing - and will Faithless regret only making their album available through Tesco’s?

The most honest reflection of the current music scene I've seen for some time. The point is that something that knocking 40 years old is more challenging and rewarding to own and listen to than nearly everything that passes for 'new music' now.
And it serves the Faithless lot right - what the hell are a respected slightly left-of-centre dance act with a massively wide following and a 15-years-established doing restricting their product in the Uk to one supermarket chain??? Bang goes their credibility. That kind of marketing is for Simply Red compilations, not a release from one of the few bands around still worth bothering with.
