Morocco only took part once and that was 30 years ago, with my all time favourite Eurovision song incidentally, so you have to conclude that they have no interest in returning.

It is more complicated with Italy. There have been problems with RAI wanting to show more adverts during the contest than the EBU would allow. Also they have the San Remo music festival, on which Eurovision was based, and this has always got far better viewing figures in Italy than Eurovision . The quality of their entries was usually far classier than the norm, so I would also love to see them back. I have a feeling they will dip their toes in the water again some day soon. maybe you could approach RAI and offer to organize it for them, JK.
