I'm quietly please about this one as he was discovered at an event I organised last year and is now signed to Atlantic and getting regular R1 plays.
Lovely bloke, very engaging performer and a great ear for a good lyric.

FWIW my next tip is Oppenheimer. Best band I saw at SxSW but still not signed over here, I think.

Love the name; The geek in me wants to tell you that its from the old text adventure games, like zx spectrum old.you'd type in each command for what you wanted your character to do
He (get cape) tours with a laptop & an accoustic guitar, think he recently signed to atlantic?
I'm not convinced he's suited to a major (in that i think he'll be in the 50-100k bracket sales wise) and would probably have been better with an indie. Although the big advance IS tempting!)

Ponder this - Get Cape, Wear Cape, Fly 18 Years, 10 Months ago

Checking out this artist I looked at the forum as an indicator of what's happening, then at the member list .... 600 odd forum sign ups, lower than I expected. Then I looked at a few random members websites only to discover 404 links, porn clips, loan pages, search pages for mobile phones etc etc from the 9th of June onwards. Best example is via this link :
www.gamefoe.co.uk/forums/memberlist.php?...SC&start=600
24 out of the 26 members websites fall into this catagory, So what's happening:
Is someone on the team signing up ficticious members to make people think he's gaining popularity?
Is he doing it to try and fool the Record Company?
Is one person with an interest in all these sites/businesses doing it in the hopes of attracting customers?
I'm inclined to think the former and at that point all credability is lost.
