No I think it reflects what a poor place London is for the sort of place you asked for....I really cant think of anywhere that meets your request. Sorry.

Indeed BR; true. The days of the Coffee Shop culture died many years ago (with Jack Good).

Well, I can't vouch for the quality of their coffee, but the vibe is certainly friendly...

I agree - I have posted before that a new style of record shop with a Coffee Shop and live performances would be a big hit in central London.....but seems that no one else agrees with me.

Borders were trying to do some live music but coffee in London is dominated by the big companies Starbucks - Nero etc. they dont do any music and are massively expensive.

The 12 Bar Club on Denmark St has a cafe at the front of the venue - but it is very small - perhaps you could try that. In the evening it is sometimes outside of the venue. There is also a bar there and live music which used to be mainly acoustic but they have had to put on more bands in recent years to try and max numbers.

The Bedford which is a pub also do acoustic music - but not sure if they do coffee. Most music is linked to alcohol in London. Which is a shame for those who dont want to drink or want to watch music in the daytime.
