TOPIC: Record of the Year 2010
#61802
Record of the Year 2010 14 Years, 9 Months ago
So far...

Biggest hit of 2010 so far?
Owl City's Fireflies 636,000 sales.
Biggest song? Don't Stop Believin' - Glee Cast added to Journey's original = 798,000 sales.
Biggest star? Lady GaGa with 2 in the top 20. But why no Alejandro - the best track?
Still climbing? Both Eminem and Katy Perry.
Top novelty? We No Speak Americano.

Doesn't bode well for a TV revival of RotY show does it? I think albums tell a better story with Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Paulo Nutini, Florence and The Machine, Plan B, Eminem, Michael Buble, Mumford & Sons, Justin Bieber and Boyzone currently making up the top 10.

I think it's rather fun - love Fireflies; adore Don't Stop Believin' (Journey version); think Alejandro is a smash; find California Gurls catchy if annoying; ditto in extremis for Americano - and 5 months still to go.

Good point Dixie - I think I counted August which hadn't quite concluded two days ago!
