TOPIC: You Tube revenue sharing
#63353
You Tube revenue sharing 14 Years, 8 Months ago
I'm suddenly bombarded by requests from You Tube to sign up for their Revenue Sharing programme. My videos on there have had millions of views. My friends in Sons of Admirals make loads of money from it but I hate those damn pop up ads and feel inclined to say "no thank you". Any opinions?

Why the hell should you care it's not as if you're going to be the one seeing them.
It's your visitors who will and they will see ads whether you like it or not. The ads
does not stop them from enjoying the site so take the money and run.

I feel the same way I feel about films on TV squeezing over the credits and talking over the theme music; I hate it!

If you can continue producing stuff without it, then perhaps there's no need. But I would have no qualms about trying it if I had a large catalogue that people watch. In many cases, it compensates for the lack of PRO income that smaller acts do not receive.
