TOPIC: song from the inside
#63986
song from the inside 14 Years, 8 Months ago
This song is from a demo sent to me by a chap who was in HMP Maidstone at the same time as JK. JK in fact saw him perform in a prison production of 'Oliver' (I was conducting). He's writing songs now as part of his rehabilitation, and I think they are quite powerful - JK I hope you can spare time to listen to a song from a former fellow-inmate. I've uploaded it to my Myspace page as he obviously can't post it himself.

Sorry, my link was probably misleading. It's only the Thomas Webb song I meant you to hear, the rest is just some old stuff of mine that wouldn't interest you. Thomas is the songwriting prisoner, and has sent me several albums of his work over the years, including this last one of which I uploaded what I thought was the best song. I wondered if you'd like to hear the rest of his album, is it possible to mail it?
Duncan.

Yes, he went to Grendon, he's now in Sudbury, trying to get onto a college music course. I think his music is really strong, but my experience is all theatre, so don't have much useful advice to give on pop/rock. Any feedback or advice you were able to give him would I'm sure be much appreciated. I'll post a cd.
Many thanks
Duncan.
