And I have huge admiration for Alesha Dixon whose comments are shrewd and fair, whose records were excellent, and who is both gorgeous and bright. I've always liked Bruno (we spent a holiday together years ago in Agadir).

I still pick Ann Widdecombe to win.

And why can't I stand Pamela Stephenson? She'll probably win and I adore Billy Connolly but I simply don't warm to Pamela.

Ann is like amateur dramatics head teacher (the maths master) but I love the madness of the whole thing.

I so agree JK. I've been wondering about this for a while, as many people seem to like her, and I just can't take to her at all. Personally I think it's something to do with the memory of what a weird creature she was at the fag end of her 'comedy' days, when she tried to do 'zany' (throwing eggs at weather forecasters etc whilst giggling manically to herself) but just looked, well, odd. I also find her vanity about being 'Dr' Stephenson incredibly tiresome.

As for the show, I really enjoy it. The director doesn't know how to film dance routines - a quick look on YouTube would show any Fred Astaire routine where the feet are always in shot and there's nothing boring or 'old-fashioned' about the direction - but the spectacle is great and there's nothing as plastic and forced as on a Cowell production.

Jk, I also love the show and I'm a little bit younger than you.

I was warming to Gavin Henson, because he seemed quite shy and vulnerable, but then he gave a speech about how he was better looking and in better shape than the other contestents and he lost me there.

Everyone loves Felicity Kendal who is amazing for her age . Peter Shilton also seems like a lovely guy, although I fear he may be leaving us tonight. I like Patsy and Pamela because they are old skool 80's girls. I disagree with Pru, I like Pamela but not Billy Connolly, he has been repeating the same act for decades and should lose that ridiculous hairstyle for a man of his age.
Apart from Widdecombe (who is just as bad as Harriet Harperson), the rest of them are off the radar. Matt Baker, Jimmy Mistry, and the two Eastenders actors are very good dancers, but I can't warm to them. Overall it is a very good line-up this year, better the chav-tastic X-factor.

I think Gavin will go because his facial expressions when dancing are so dreadfiul; a mix of boredom and sheer terror.

And I'm sure Ms Church's loyal fans will have something to do with wide face getting the boot. Ooh the drama.

Charlotte was on with Graham Norton on friday and was saying that she's been voting for Gavin and supporting him. You have to remember that he is still the father of her children.

Yes and you implied that Charlotte's fans would ensure that Gavin would get voted out, and I'm saying they wouldn't because there is no bad blood. Wheres the problem?.

This series with WIDDY is easily the best line up they have had - if they cant make this work then they should shut the show down at the end !

I cannot bear Winkelman on the Sunday show (which is a shambles anyway). How this ghastly and affected character gets so many jobs at the BBC is a mystery - she's also making a mess of Film 2010. I think she was good in that movie 'Don't Look Now' - running around in a red dufflecoat and then stabbing Donald Sutherland at the end - but my god her woefully mannered befringed and drag queen make-upped 'I'm ditsy, me' routine makes me want to throw up.

The "problem" is we live in fickle world where even though he is the father of her children does not matter a jot to your average voter.
