A fascinating collection - it's easy to understand why none of the tracks ended up on Darkness On The Edge Of Town - Bruce is clearly not giving his all vocally; he's singing half hearted, rather as one would do demos and his rendition of Fire (not one of my favourites of his songs anyway) sounds as though he was punting it to Elvis during his over eating phase.

It's sad though that he didn't put his full 100% into Because The Night; even on automatic pilot it's fabulous.

And Bruce at half cock is far superior to anything in today's chart.

Also there is an undiscovered smash song on this album. Don't ask me the title - I may do a cover of it with someone one day!
