Why is the music industry full of deaf, blind wankers? 14 Years, 5 Months ago
Here's the proof; after we pushed this months ago, dozens of labels leaped in trying to sign Ulrik but (like Who Let The Dogs Out?) none of them did so. Are they mad? Here is the unofficial video for the smash hit song - written by him.

I totally agree.
Ulrik will be a star one day, perhaps when he's a little bit older.
And, when you consider the utter shite that IS being signed by majors these days, it's no wonder the industry's going to hell in the proverbial handcart.

It really is extraordinary Mike; such an obvious smash hit by a talented, good looking young man with teen appeal, of a song he wrote himself - yet he remains unsigned.
Remember I couldn't get Chumbawamba signed either until Rupert Perry put pressure on EMI Germany; and Who Let The Dogs Out cost me EIGHT meals with talented Steve Greenberg (admittedly mainly social) before I could convince him to cover the song with his Baha Men.
And Orson had No Tomorrow out on My Space for eight years before I picked up on it and oushed it here.

No JK they don't.......and people are so afraid of losing their jobs that there is no risk whatsoever at any major label. A showcased act is analyzed and intellectualized into over-compressed white noise.
Perfect example is Parlo hiring Stuart Price to gaurd dog Kylie's latest album, then you have two dozen songwriters for ten tracks with Price acting like a studio limiter in cutting the top and bottom life right out of anything that may be interesting or different.
And Darling K is a superstar act.......never mind what happens to a new act!

Excellent; well done; keep spreading the word about great music - something which very few seem to do these days (and one of the reasons The Tip Sheet started in the 90s).
