Delicious dinner with Johnny Beerling 14 Years, 3 Months ago
When he was Controller of Radio One the only show he still actually produced was my Christmas special.
He enjoyed veal kidneys with creamed potatoes and spinach and I had prawn Thai curry.
And lots and lots of happy memories.

Dear God, no wonder this site is so woefully lacking in interesting industry comment and gossip when the Moderator publishes his dinner menu with a old ,(a very old....) chum.
get a grip JK and write something interesting.
Actually take a 100 lines "I must not inflict the detritus of my dull personal life on my dwindling readers".

AD - thank you for your incisive comments - and there was me thinking the decline of intelligent music industry discussion was down to the collapse of the business. After your intelligent and perceptive post about the music industry I shall try to make sure that amusing dialogue about former essential members of the music and radio industries are kept to a minimum.

I agree JK. I in fact would go as far as to recommend your tipsters read Johnny’s excellent book about the early days of Radio 1. His vision and influence is still inherent at Radio 1 today. www.johnnybeerling.com
