I'll tell you why then, Tom. It started out at 70/1 but a few people had relatively large bets on it. The Eurovision betting market is much smaller than horse racing or football, so this is enough to make the bookies nervous, not to mention genuinely affecting the arithmetic, so the odds come crashing in.

That said, I do like the song. Not sure whether it is a classy operatic number, or one which fools the audience into thinking that is what it is, but either way, I wouldn't dismiss its chances.

well i'm dismissing france, sweden, uk, norway, i'm not saying that they will not do well but they are not winners from what i have seen and heard so far unless they improve dramatically and the same goes for hungary who is not the best singing live according to euro fans which is essential for the contest and i'm not totally convinced about estonia but i'm not dismissing it yet
on the positive side it should be the most interesting contest for years with no obvious winner
