In the main Radio 2 is blessed with considerable broadcasting talent;A worrying end is developing though with the arrival of comedians who simply have no idea on how to present a music show. This trend, one supposes began with Jonathan Ross and Russell Brand. Ross in particular loves music and can be a brilliant broadcaster.
Those following in their footsteps have two disappointing traits; they are not atall funny outside their comfort zones of stand up, sketches or sitcom, and they have no idea of how to put a programme together r.
Chief villain here is the absurd Allan Carr but he is now closely pursued by Miranda Hart, (suffering from a cold admittedly ) and Jon Holmes last night at 8pm. Dreadfully puerile , no invention and zero compatibilty. And to think they replaced Stuart MacConie and Mark Lamarr....

I agree. I listened to Maranda Hart last night. My evening listening to Radio 2 Mon-Wed is now over! Stuart and Mark were a fantastic combination, and played great original (don't hear it on constant rotation) music.

Yes, I know thay are on 6Music, but I don't have access to it in the car - where I often find myself in the evenings!
