I think the very title is racist and the fact that so many nominees are white is odd. Why should skin colour - Music Of Black Origin - matter to music? Visually - fine; if we are judging People Of Black Origin, a pure white person whose great grandparents were brown is fine (although it's a bit odd; like judging PWBE - People With Blue Eyes - why?)

Soul can come from all genders, religions and skin colours.

Great music is what matters - our Record of the Year simply celebrates popularity (get into "good" or "bad" and you're veering off course).

Personally, I think Adele is very good but Beverley Knight (who happens to be black-ish and is not nominated) is a far more soulful singer.
But what do I know?

Music Of Black Origin - Is there any other music nowadays?

Well; there's country MOOOPBs - Music Of Oppression Of Black People - and Classical - Music Of Old White People - and Hymns - Music For Missionaries To Black People... and of course Rai and Soca (Music of Brown People)... see what I mean? It's silly.

It may have meant something once, at a pinch, as a celebration of hip-hop & soul, but those of us with a brain know that know that basically ALL pop-rock-jazz is effectively music of black origin anyway, and certainly the mutant "R'n'B" genre of the last decade or so has basically BECOME (for the worse) the mainstream pop music these awards are completely redundant.
