Won by a fat Scottish girl who sang, rather well, Someone Like You - the only single so far this year to have sold over a million copies.

By Adele - our Odds On favourite to win our Record of the Year 2011; I like it but prefer The Lazy Song.

And Someone was written by Adele. That's what counts. Anyone can sing; few can also write.

Why do we need to discover a singer who’s not as good as the one she’s copying?
