I had no idea you had produced this, but I had heard the story of this song being recorded, whilst on a long journey down the M6.
From what I recall, you have my long standing drummer and percussionist on the recording, and I seem to remember him telling me that he was asked to play timpani`s on it.
Small world innit?

Sadly I can't remember who was playing on it but there certainly were timpanis... pass on my regards... it's a good sound, isn't it, and shows what an excellent and under rated singer Bernard was!
