Terrific lunch with Mike Read 13 Years, 9 Months ago
Old friend recently got back in touch; loads to catch up on; lots of nostalgia.
He's part of Vintage TV which is doing rather well.

We were chatting about fellow Decca stars and others from the 60s and Twinkle's name came up and I mentioned she was more talented than just Terry and he said "Golden Lights" - indeed - here it is!

There's indeed much more than Terry

There's Tommy

Caroline

but did you get him to admit that he was put-up to banning Relax when he was on Radio 1?

I admire for him for his dogged persistence in carrying on working on new projects and TV shows in spite of a few setbacks - I gather he has just published a detective novel which is set in of all places, Essex!

I was once sent some script he'd written about Rupert Brooke. Dear God. It was like death by a thousand cream teas.

Did you notice that Paul MacCartney's new ballet score is been released on Decca, the same label that originally rejected the Beatles.
