Was watching the Bay City Rollers and wondered what would happen if McFly did a Rollers cover? After all, as a heartthrob band with guitars they surely are their 'forefathers'...could be quite funny as well as successful? Or is that kind of old style pop not 'hard' enough for the youth of today?
...it is a great testament to the elder statesmen of the business that the young bands respect their material . It has not been forced down the young bands throats and it is the decision of the artistes to have covered it. "Don`t Stop me Now", is a very complicated arrangement by any standard, and does take some pulling off, due to it`s eclectic piano led original.
I cowered under a very big table cloth when the Sex Pistols went down the easy to play Eddie Cochran route, which notably inspired punk, but after what had proceded it,(i.e Floyd , Genesis etc) we were back to grade one music once again, but? We all loved it.
McFly?
"Summertime Blues"?,
