One of the more interesting Top Of The Pops last night. I enjoyed Eddie & The Hot Rods, with a young Barrie Masters. Shame they had to spoil the performance by putting some stupid coloured "brush stroke effect" over the picture. Was that the first every "punk" performance on TOTP? Some probably consider Eddie & The Hot Rogs more R&B - like Dr Feelgood, but they were part of the punk movement at the time. I saw them live a number of time in the mid/late 70s.

Did the late night repeat some anything extra?

One of the minor members of the 5 piece group (Derek Longmuir, the drummer), was found with child porn pix on his computer a few years ago, which he said were downloaded by a guest. He was giving community service and is still allowed to continue nursing, as I think he should be. He said that he pleaded guilty to avoid a 'media circus' because of his past fame.

I think JK's excuse of not being in the same country as the false accuser at the time is a bit more plausable than derek's 'mysterious stranger' one

Status Quo is the worst band with a shoddy performance I seen I got little bored at a Temperance Seven gig but it was still a fun night.
