about the BBC censoring JK out of Top of the Pops reruns. It Only Took A Minute for them to razor the original UK hit version (sales 450,000 vinyl copies; No8 on the chart) out of their 1976 show.

Their loss; the viewers loss; genuine historians loss; JK was quite happy that his handsome, slim pop star past was not seen and compared to the white haired, fat old queen he's become at 66!

Yes; if, instead of chopping free material from old shows, they allowed them to run they wouldn't have to fire so many people! I'm looking forward to the 80s when I'm on almost every other week doing 5 minute American chart rundowns on Top of the Pops. The 80`s are going to be extremely holed TOTP performances at the rate it is going. The popular character developed by Kenneth King had tremendous cultural influence to a different generation from the one mainly spoke of currently.
