I have just revisited the King Of Hits box set and noticed that both Flirt and He's the Greatest Lover are not the 45 versions.

Flirt comes in with a running time of 2.02 (The same as the edit on The Butterfly That Stamped)as against the 45 at 2.30

He's the Greatest Lover comes in with a running time of 5.51 as against the 45 version at 3.27.

Is there any reason the 45 edits were not used and are there any plans to make them available in the future as itseems that all the other tracks are the correct 45 versions.

There is also songs from the back cataloge that are not included but still fine a box set.

I wasn't aware of that Swin - I took the masters from my collection of converted tracks - yes; I've used the longer Greatest Lover (our twelve inch was superior I felt) but I thought that was the Flirt 45. It might just be we faded it early at some point to fit another collection (Butterfly?) and retained that truncated version.

I know we also used the wrong Hedgehoppers version (not the original).

Tut tut. If this was shall we say a Beatles box set and didn't use the original 45's I think there be massive complaints and re-call, then it be re-released with new artwork, inner notes for the double the orginal price of the set.

But this is just 2 little human errors and box set been out for years an d no one has ever mentioned this.
