Just heard from a record label - Lady Godiva is a new entry at No9 on the OCC chart and rising fast - two days of sales; shifting like crazy; huge crowds at HMV and other stores (800 in Edinburgh yesterday - Manchester today)...

The new model works - and the major corporations are nervous - why? Because, if an unsigned act can record a hit, make a video for next to nothing and get so much attention on free media like You Tube - building up a serious fan base - without having to give away most of the money earned to talentless executives who suffocate talent and crush enthusiasm... they (the labels) are in trouble.

Two top ten hits with his first two singles without the massive promotion, hype and expenditure of corporations? The new model.
