Obviously I'm biased PH but can I urge you to listen to my two 10cc albums - 10cc and Sheet Music? They really are classics.

I'd certainly go with Sheet Music. A huge selling classic album, and in my opinion was their career highlight.

Kiss? Arlo Guthrie??

Seeing as we are going for 1970's British Albums, I'll go for 'Born To Run' & 'Hotel California..'

And 'Songs In The Key Of Life'....

And who were the British artists who recorded them, Harry?

I think Harry is attempting to move the list to more global areas, dixie, and why not? Any list mentioning The Boss is OK with me.

I was being a bit sarcastic - as far as I knew 'Kiss' & 'Arlo Guthrie' are US artists.

So it was a joke

Sorry - it won't happen again

So - 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' & 'Tapestry'

Oops - i did it again....

I had a listen to Sheet Music (10cc) via spotify. I must admit it's better then I expected, but I don't it wouldn't make my list of favourites. It's Different, and I will listen to it again, now and again.

Hi Harry. Sorry, I missed Andrew's original post. On-re-reading I see your point. My remark should have been pointed towards Andrew. Send my love to Jamie and Louise.

JK. No problem expanding the list, but the original idea, (I assumed) was to unearth some BRITISH 1970s albums worth further consideration.

Well it's all down to Pumpkinhead who, as an intrigued 16 year old, would, I assume, be equally interested in great albums from other cultures?

Jamie & Louise are fine thanks - as you can see in the papers this week, looking well fit (depending on which side of preference you are on...)

Jamie said to mention The Jam, The Specials, The Who & the Stones - Louise went for the Slits, PIL & Joy Division

My personal fave song from the 70's is 'Blue Is The Colour'...I can't remember who sang it...
