One of the reasons I miss the old Tip Sheet 13 Years, 1 Month ago
was tracks like this - Gavin Bryars; an un-named old tramp and Tom Waits - this was the kind of odd but superb track we championed at the Tip Sheet and many became huge global hits as a result.
Where else could you have been nudged towards magic like this? At least these days you can find most things once you know about them. Listen to the very end...

I did listen to the very end. The problem is that it is so bad that most people won't survive the distant. After a while it gets more bearable .. in some ways, and as a piece of art I'd rate it along with works of Van Gogh (most of which were pretty bad) .. but it's not for me.

Heathens, this is a trully great track, i have loved the original (without Tom ) for years and he only adds to the deep melancholy. When tom comes in the hairs stand up on the back of your neck.
I think it is the unofficial anthem for all Londoners.

JK over the past few months I have actually been mulling over your idea of there needing to be a filter for music tracks.
Ok the concept horrifies me to a degree but I do see the need for there to be one definitive guide to what's new musicwise
whereby artists and labels can promote their tracks, we have good a&r who can rate them and then tip them to the industry
a bit like how your tipsheet worked but perhaps as a TV show. I am happy to produce it down here but I was wondering what you thought
about the idea and whether you think it has mileage and perhaps if we can discuss it further.
By the way this is open to all Tipsheeters as I did like the old tipsheet and I like ROTD to a degree.
