I wonder if anyone remembers the delightful record we released on UK Records (in America) - The Butterfly Ball by another talented member of Deep Purple; Roger Glover?

This morning I played "Smoke On The Water" on my guitar for the first time in ages, in honour of Jon Lord. It was the first thing I ever learned to play. I think most kids learn to play guitar with that song even though most won't have heard of him or know that he wrote it.

I remember it. It was an early concept album. It had a very catchy tune on it. I'm sure my copy was on Purple Records through Harvest/EMI. It had a flowery cover with the title "woven" through it.

Yes the catchy tune was Love Is All; we only had the rights for the USA and sadly failed to break it; superb song sung by then unknown Ronnie James Dio.
