Yes the dancing was rather lame as were the trousers but hey Alex is cheesy and camp in a nice
way so I guess that's just his trademark. It did make me laugh though. The video was nice overall.
I think the dancing is supposed to be lame. That's the impression that I got anyway. The video is kinda interesting, but the song does nothing for me at all .. unlike "Good Morning Sunshine" which grew on me very quickly.
I love the song but of course I'm biased having suggested it to him after picking up on it years ago (by The Vacancy - career sadly ruined by Nick
"Wanker" Raphael).
Having said that, I also think Good Morning Sunshine is his best song yet and should be a huge hit.
Yes; I apologise to Nick and the other music executives for criticising them but I have to say; this generation of execs is so dreadful, have been so much worshippers at the "take the cash and run" altar of greed; that our beloved business is collapsing. And one of the reasons is that... the Tip Sheet used to keep them honest.
Laziness, incompetence, failure - all got noticed and slammed publicly.
And the other side of the coin (great example - Paul Berger's championship of Celine Dion) were admired and praised.
It never happened before. Doesn't happen in most industries. And is crucial.
Accountability.
Execs found ways (like the bankers) of making it appear they were competent (huge profits today; Micawber disaster tomorrow) to convince shareholders and bosses - but they never fooled us. We pointed out the failures.
Good luck to him I say - the perfect person for the current music world. Gift of gab; all style and no substance; will spend loadsamoney, massage figures, get chart positions, look like a winner - Scouting For Shit!
