Max Bygraves RIP 12 Years, 9 Months ago
He was never a fan of mine (I think I was rude about him once) but he was a huge star in the 50s.

One of my favourite B&W British films is called "A Cry From The Street". I didn't know much about Max Bygraves, but that movie gave me more respect for him. The film also featured a young Colin Petersen who played drums with the BeeGees.

I knew Colin in the 60s. My thought on Max is anyone who is prepared to record a song called I'm A Pink Toothbrush deserves respect.

God Bless Max Bygraves, a true gentleman and a great performer. Another one of the old school of variety performers passes on. Not many left now, Ken Dodd, Roy Hudd.
