At last the BBC has dared to ask (yet another) unaskable question; are albums dead? We've been saying this for years - with single tracks downloadable individually, the general idea of albums is over.

Yes, compilations are fine; ditto complicated concept albums but the 99% of crap - over.

Congratulations to alt J but I have to say - Breezeblocks was ordinary and not enough to make me want to check out more; so why should I? Don't intend to listen to the "album".

I loved the Elbow win; got the album; bored within seconds; haven't bothered since.

For decades I've felt albums put more people OFF than turn people ON.

Singles are what it's always been about. Either something has the quality or it doesn't.

As mentioned previously; I found 21 dull; two great tracks; the rest filler. And the filler meant I went off her whiny voice.

Fortunately Skyfall is pretty good. Skyfall the single. See what I did there?
