Happily retired for a couple of years I have dragged myself out for a few minutes
to help Katherine if I can.
History of Katherine is that as a singer/songwriter, when I did PR and promo she received great support on regional radio stations, BBC Radio 6 and BBC radio 2 for her album 'Missionary Girl' but unfortunately her indie record label went 'belly up' basically - the same old story. During this time she also received great support from Paul Kramer (Hitsheet), David Stark (Songlink), Jan Van Mesdag and Tony Moore who welcomed her to the Kashmir quite a few times. She was also included on a Tipsheet 'new music' CD.
Unfortunately she now has a very aggressive form of cancer which is heart breaking as she is only 37, married with two young children.
She has recorded a single with the London Symphony Orchestra which as the title says reached #5 in the BBC Indie Charts and topped the Itunes singer/songwriter chart last weekend.
All support for Katherine will be gratefully received.
