Sounds of the Sixties - best show on radio? 12 Years, 4 Months ago
I listen every week; because it's such a great mix of established and obscure tracks. Today they played the first, original version of Twist and Shout by the Topnotes - not good but the start of one of Bert Burns' classics.

It's a great programme, and I think I'm right in saying that it has the highest listenership (i.e. percentage of available listeners) of any show on UK radio.
I'd love to see an in-depth interview with Brian Matthew, he must know where plenty of bodies are buried after all his time in the biz... one of my favourite albums is the "Bowie At The Beeb" collection of BBC sessions, which includes some in-show chatter from the late 60's, including Brian Matthew on a few tracks, and he still sounds exactly the same!!
