Get them 100% ready; then book the studio for a DAY (not a week)... I used to do 4 singles in a day and once had THREE top 10 hits from one session.
And I had session musicians to record.
The secret is - knowing exactly what the finished product should sound like.
Then it can be speedy.

If you've got no knowledge of music, arrangement, production, software etc. then pay someone who does.

I got rid of all my home recording equipment, purely because, as it was in the house, I tended to constantly tweak. I prefer going to a studio and working there. As Kev says, if you do not know what you are doing, pay for the speed of work and the advice.
And don`t forget many recording people post here, three of which I am personally working with.

Ears are ears; since mine were never dampened by drugs or alcohol, they stayed fresh! 18 Years, 8 Months ago
Mind you, after hearing the EXCELLENT R2 Record Producers episode with Bob Clearmountain (strongly recommended on Listen Again on the BBC site) on Bank Holiday Monday 28th August (not September as the BBC site says!), the role of the mixer takes on a whole new meaning.
Do check it out. First rate show.

Hi David, we should have been up and running now, but the website is not in my hands.
The whole record is finished, as is the merchandise. I was given a launch date that was not given correctly, and I launched the information, before we were running live.
However, purely patient people like yourself, who are interested in the project may visit..

www.myspace.com/oneminutealbum

...which will give you four tasters.
The album runs as a virtual segue piece, so, on downloads it can sound frustratingly even shorter!
And a message for the new poster Gerupta(Hello!), it would not be fair of myself , without consent of the various pro recordists to reveal pricings without their consent.

Ok Martin, i respect your respect for the highly respected, respectable recordists. If you do get permission to pass on their details i would be most grateful.

Let's say i have recorded these 3 pop gems but iam not a band in the live sense, what's the best way to market oneself, i don't want to give them away on myspace..
