I've arrived here in a quest to track down the definitive answer for the vocalists on Johnny Reggae. Was working at 45cat.com to link up all JK's known artists and pseudonyms, and edit some of the records. Now I find I can ask here
In particular there's a discussion on Johnny Reggae where it seems certain that Barbara Kay (Kay Barry) was involved. Was there anyone else?

There were three session singers and Barbara took the lead vocal. There's also several falsetto "me"s in the choruses. Nothing to do with Wendy Richards or Adrienne Posta despite rumours at the time. It sold almost 5 million globally as a single and millions more on "Hits" compilation albums like Now That's What I Call Music.

And it's in my new film The Pink Marble Egg, just entered for the Cannes Film Festival in May.
