Did anybody else catch Ant and Dec’s TV show on Saturday night? I’m not a regular viewer, but I thought Saturday’s show was excellent. Yes, it’s a copy of Noel’s House Party, but it has taken the idea and brought it up to date. The prank on One Direction was funny, and the finale really enjoyable easy viewing. And PJ & Duncan are likely to be in the Top 10 this coming Sunday.

I really like them; they worked for me on the Record of the Year once; and I was asked to produce them when they were in Byker Road (before Rumble) by their TV producer who was at Cambridge with me (and whose younger brother is Tom Robinson).

I met them a couple of times, most recently at CD:UK, so quite some time ago. They were very likeable guys - and were professional and not scared of hard work. (Noticable now!). BTW, Biker Grove not Roasd.
I was with them the night of their first ever PA (as PJ and Duncan) to promote their first release - before Rumble - cant remember it but written by Ritchie from Let Loose.
Venue was Zanadu in Rochdale I believe.
Ended up doing loads of shows with them (inc Smash Hits tours).
There first single was "Tonight I'm Free" - but it didn't get in the Top Forty. The First 'success' was "Why Me? in early 94, followed that summer by Rhumble, which was their biggest hit (#9)
