Now here was a REAL producer and dear friend; she was everything right about the BBC.

Angela Bond interviewed me for a role at the BBC in the mid-80s as I struggled to find meaningful and money-ful work in the record industry after quitting my job at a record wholesaler. Her take on the BBC was that its role was both to entertain and to educate.

As it was, the role wasn't for me in any sense of the word and I re-focussed instead on getting a hit single with a track called "Time Ticking Away" by Jim Bell.

This didn't happen either. The record's producer and myself got a deal with Jet Records via Promo People that didn't really work for us at all.

That was that and I moved into IT, where I've now been for almost 30 years.
