Ding Dong We've Lost Our Marbles! 12 Years, 2 Months ago
So miniscule are sales these days that another Facebook campaign to insult a dead old lady could mean Judy Garland goes to No1; ironically, like Rage Against One Hit Wonders, the track is miles better than all the current top ten added together. Ramifications - aren't they wonderful? A stoopid brain dead vindictive social network crusade will highlight the stoopid brain dead radio programming of radio today and the stoopid brain dead "music" makers simply copying other producers' bad reproductions of former hits.

The debate appears to be "will the BBC play The Witch Is Dead?". Surely the answer has to be a question - why ever not?
But wouldn't it be funny if We Can't Let Maggie Go were a hit - would they play a track by a Vile Pervert?

Oh dear, morality is so tricky these days, innit?
We could all have a sing-song I found the karaoke version.

The real tragedy is that you still think the charts are relevant and so does the BBC who, bizarrely, have just renewed the contract to play the hit parade.

Ah decaf, you're wrong. The charts mean virtually nothing these days but they still hugely influence radio programming and press coverage... inaccurate they may be, uninspiring and reflecting bad label executives and wrong priorities but they still get headlines and airplay.

Actually the movie is packed with fabulous tunes and incredible lyrics (don't you love the Coroner's bit? You don't get many mentions for coroners in lyrics these days). One of the reasons I've just made my THIRD musical movie is to show that you can include many real hits.
The Pink Marble Egg has more hits in this one film than Andrew Lloyd Webber has had in his entire career.
