I’ve just discovered the amazing Alabama Shakes and suggest anyone on here who likes blues/rock/roots music should give them a try. Here are two songs they did on Saturday Night Live.





IMHO if they continue producing music of that quality they will be huge, a young band with a great future ahead of them. The level of musicianship is very high and in Brittany Howard they have an amazing front person. They are the perfect antidote to the plastic/manufactured music that comes from the reality TV shows. As well as Britney’s voice I love the sweeping Hammond organ sound. A class act.
