Good film, good points. One thing I DO think needs changing is the format - the two cheesey presenters, the endless 'thank you for a wonnerful show guys!' etc etc - this is 2013, and, yes, you can have all the kitsch you want in the music and routines but this stuff is just damned amateurish these days. Ultimately you want a good TV programme as well as a song contest, and as a production it remains dim, dull and dire. It wouldn't be tolerated in any other context, yet on and on it goes, with presenters who'd look out of their depth on a shopping channel, exchanging infantile badinage with similarly incompetent daytime TV cast-offs during the voting stage. If they modernised THAT aspect I'd be more likely to stick with it. Kitsch is fun, unimaginative and dumbed-down production is anything but fun.

I liked the "clubby" bits in "knickers in the air" very much. Is there a new version available? It sounds great.

That's the GarlicBREFF treatment by the mighty Ricardo Autobahn from The Cuban Boys; I don't think we've yet put it on iTunes: will do so.

Thinking of the contest, I still think the only actual HIT in the show is Birds by Anouk - I wonder which UK label has it and whether they can break it in the UK?

Like One Direction who didn't win The X Factor but should have, or Gina G who should have won Eurovision, Anouk's superb vocal of a truly interesting song should be huge. But labels these days are SOO useless.

Please let me know when the Garlicbreff mix goes on sale.
I like the bird song and I think it is unusual enough to be a hit everywhere.
I have seen people complaining that they couldn't buy certain songs without others too, which true is a shame.
I thoroughly enjoyed the competition and if it was as unprofessional as some are saying it passed me by.
Petra Mede was magnificent

Thought the bird song was terribly boring - and like Graham Norton feel a bit "you don't like Lana Del Ray you'll hate this"...

Really liked Malta's 'Tomorrow' by Gianluca - very simple and melodic.
