Well Ron, times change and sometimes so do the morality, the tastes, the attitudes... I suspect I was quite happy doing anything to promote the release which did, let's face it, sell several million around the world (many more than Gar-EE and Take That did 15 years later), so some people liked it.

You did not think of applying the Jack Hargreaves look (false beard, thick rimmed glasses) ? As for selling millions of copies ...

I reckon you paid for the Rolls in other ways - maybe it was the royalties you received from publishing a certain Swedish group in the UK and RoI? I'm sure if you were to dig out your old MCPS/PRS statements - none of which have been put up for viewing here - I'd be proved correct.

I think it sold about 3 million globally - plus, of course, all those Now! type compilation albums that brought in a lot even though it was only one of about 20 hits on them.
