Sad reflection state of the music industry 11 Years, 11 Months ago
When a 69 year old, and his pensioner pals are hailed as "best thing in 43 years" you know that things have gone somewhat wrong !

Not to mention the way they dress - your grandmother couldn't take one of them home to meet the grandchildren, could she?

Anyway, from a visual angle, I think they're still incredibly charismatic and compelling to watch - I was fascinated for the entire length of the BBC coverage!. I reckon those guys will carry on rocking till they drop.

And this report is a sad reflection on BBC journalism - can anyone spot the idiotic faux pas in this:

I went to see them back in (I think) 1981, mainly because I thought, 'Oh well, they'll finish soon so I might as well'. And after I thought, 'I wish I'd seen them when they still cared'. I'm sure they will go on and on, now. What else do they have to do? Keith needs to play. Jagger needs to make money. I've never been able to take Jagger seriously. He should have been a PE teacher. Or a property magnate.

One paper today has Mick and Keith on the front page under the banner "Night of the Living Dead !"

Yes ITK. Judging by your views on this site, it is probably your favourite paper, The Daily Mail, with a typically negative stance.

I didn't get the reference straight away.

Begs the question, what has been the best thing in 40+ years? Abba? u2? Michael Jackson?
