Anyone doubting that the police are motivated by malice and corruption as well as by indolence and ambition must have become convinced by the decision to prosecute John Leslie. The police do not want the truth, John, they are tunnel visioned in their quest for convictions, fair or unfair. The publicity provoked allegations; the media demanded stories, true or false, and I'm sure the police are hoping that they will now get further accusations to bolster their flimsy case. Still, at least you only need to go back 6 years to find proof of your innocence - unlike my 32. Your case will further spotlight the fact that sex allegations can be made with no proof whatsoever for a variety of motives and, for a celebrity, as a direct result of media publicity. The legal and financial incentives to lie are extraordinary. Good luck, John, but don't hold your breath in the current climate of unjust Britain.
