I strongly object to the implication that I exploited l4 or 15 year olds for sexual reasons, as claimed by both the trial judge and the appeal judges. Let me explain. My target audience in my chosen careers as a music impresario and an entertainment producer was TEENAGERS. I needed to know them , their tastes in music, their attitudes to relationships, to drugs to society, to their families. As a result, I deliberately mixed with them, as judges mix with lawyers and legal experts and stenographers and clerks. Leaving aside my innocence of the specific convictions, if any relationships did develop between myself and such teenagers that was more personal than a professional one required by my business interests, such friendships were based on mutual admiration for each other as an individual.
