My trial started at the Old Bailey.
Yes, I too felt there were other, more important events that day.
The judge and lawyers scoffed at my suggestion that all our minds might not be on details of alleged minor offences from 20 years earlier.
All I know is that MY mind was on New York, not false allegations.
By the way, I was totally acquitted with a NOT GUILTY verdict at a second trial that November.
And most of the other false allegations were ordered abandoned by the judge.
We proved them lies and he agreed after we presented evidence.
Some were "left on file" (i.e rejected by the judge on legal points).
I continue to appeal the wrongful convictions in the first trial.
Next court appearance - October.
