Well, we're coming up for one year since my unjust conviction at the Old Bailey (remember - though the trial started on Sept llth 2001, the process went on for some weeks and the jury took FOUR DAYS to reach a verdict, with one lady resigning in disgust and walking away from the entire fiasco - I wish I could have done the Same). I suspect, as long as I live, I'll never be able to forget that date, not least because half of my life is in NEW YORK. Satan was aiming his weapons at BOTH my homes, just in case! But this has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. Someone here in HMP MAIDSTONE commented on how well I was taking it and mentioned 'putting on a brave face'. I snapped - RUBBISH! The extraordinary insight to the gross injustices of British Law, the moral corruption of the police, lawyers and judicial system, the workings of the media (OK - I know most of those, having been a part of it for nearly 40 years, but first hand demonisation has been a fascinating experience) and the strange world of the prison existence - if someone offered me TEN MILLION POUNDS to change it, to erase the past 2 years - I'd refuse it. Money could not buy the numerous invaluable, priceless observations I've acquired. So please - to my many loyal and kind supporters - don't feel sorrow or misery for me. Rejoice in the knowledge, pray that I can use it to rectify wrongs, be certain in your belief that I have never intentionally taken advantage of anyone, and raise a toast to the future! JK
