Well I would never have thought when I came up with the title, project and title for Record of the Year in 1998 and sold it to David Liddiment of ITV that I would be watching it in prison five years later serving time for crimes I did not commit. Oh well. C'est la vie. What a surprising and interesting life. At least I did not spent 25 years inside as an innocent man unlike most others such as Robert Brown, Stephen Downing and the thousands who cannot prove their innocence. I thought the show was excellent. Best number on screen was Elvis. Enrique was excellent. Did Gareth need to go to the toilet? Surely that could be the only explanation for stamping his foot and crossing his legs like that. And why has Will adopted a hairstyle that can only be described as "There's Something About Mary"? The mind boggles. If you thought it was a cracking good show please phone or email Jeff Thacker at LWT and congratulate him. Now on to next year.
