"I am absolutely delighted that my conviction has not been overturned by the court of appeal. It allows me to take British justice to Europe and to expose the laws on sex offences as being in clear and material breach of human rights. There is no possibility of a fair trial when a false accuser is granted full anonymity but his or her victim can be smeared by the media, when accusations can go back decades without any need for proof or corroboration and when there are such huge financial rewards on offer, in compensation and tabloid interview fees. To be placed in a position where you are presumed guilty. Unless you can prove you didn't do something decades ago is contrary to all sensible values of fairness. Nobody in Britain in their right minds would become a teacher or care worker or priest. I continue to fight this crusade on behalf of the thousands of victims of false allegations past, present and future. For me, the disdain of the mindless morons who choose to believe lies is like water off a duck's back, but for the many others whose lives, families and careers have been ruined by malicious invention and exaggeration, I say - hold your heads up and look down on the stupid, the greedy, the deluded and the fractured with pity, not hatred. I have a clear conscience and I will not allow bitterness to taint my innocence." Jonathan King 2003
