'Hi, First can I please point out that The Brits 2003 was NOT the first live (or nearly live) show since the l989 fiasco. As producer in l990 and l991 I nagged and nagged that we needed the element of surprise and indeed in 1992 we DID go 'nearly live'. Broadast that same night. Strange to remember that I hosted and wrote the show in l987 - one of the most successful of all the Brits. And please remember - it was me that named them The Brits. Before that they were something incredibly catchy like 'The British Rock and Pop Awards'. With Cold Play and Daniel Bedingfield and Ms Dynamite and Busted - it's not all bad in British Music at the moment. JK'
