Not a bad movie but not a great one either and considering how wonderful the books are, it should have been far better.

I lost the plot myself, which I never did reading the novel. Is Snape Harry's Dad? I need to reread the book (which I shall do). So busy were the team trying to spend money to make it spectacularly 3D and specially effective, trying to out do the pretentious, dull, crap Lord of the Rings (mind you, Tolkein did that himself - talk about bogging himself down - I do hope Jackson doesn't screw up the marvellous Hobbit, a miles better tale) - that they forgot the simple story and terrific characters.

"Let's make Voldemort better than The Mummy" - actually, the Mummy was better.

A bit of a mess, to be honest. Shame.
