So 5 died in the Westminster Bridge accident. 5 just died in a Stockholm one. 5 die every day in a road accident or crash or other ghastly incident in Rome, Paris, Cologne, Abu Dhabi and Auckland. There's not a lot of coverage of these other dreadful tragedies (for those involved they could not be more tragic, like getting cancer or having a stroke or getting run down by a bus). Why not?

Journalists in France refuse to display images of ISIL etc atrocities but they report the matters.

British media, especially the Daily Wail love promoting snuff movies and ensuring any new atrocity gets maximum exposure with full details so ISIL and similar mobs have realised the more dramatic, gory and despicable the death the more column inches thus,JK is spot on.

Much of the media promote recruiting videos for ISIL and ensure that murderous psychopath can go to Syria, Iraq and murder at will.

I am not being naive, I think that there is a proximate risk - but as you say, it's important not to overstate it.

In my town (Dublin), the threat of crime/assault is largely from locals, and not immigrants, be they immigrants of the Muslim variety or not.

While I have no doubt that some of the immigrant population are involved in crime gangs, the vast majority of serious assaults and murders in Ireland are committed by local Irish people.
